HOSTS ANNUAL FIRM SUMMER PARTY |

Betsy Kline and Steve Mindel |

Bob Brandt, Steve Mindel,
Irwin Feinberg, Jerry Kline |
| Partner Jerry Kline, and his wife, Betsy, welcomed more than 50
FMBK staff members, attorneys, and their families, into their home on Saturday, July 31,
for the annual firm summer party. Betsy and Partner Steve
Mindel made almost everything from scratch. The menu included mouth-watering ribs,
enchiladas, barbecued salmon, hot dogs and chicken, macaroni and cheese, salad, corn bread
and more from Steve's cookbook, "Cooking For Our
Friends." While the adults conversed, the kids swam in the pool. A good time was
had by all. |

WELCOMES FIRST YEAR ASSOCIATE GREGORY GIRVAN |
 |
FMBK welcomes back our 2009 summer law clerk and now first
year associate Gregory Girvan. Greg is a 2010 graduate of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles,
where he finished in the top 25% of his graduating class. He is currently awaiting his
positive Bar results.
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Greg attended the Granada Hills High School
Math, Science and Technology Magnet. He went on to earn a B.A. in Political Science from
the University of California at Davis, with a minor in History.
Before law school, Greg spent several years working as a legislative deputy in the
California State Assembly. He focused on enacting policies that would prepare California's
communications infrastructure for natural disasters. Additionally, he was responsible for
writing legislation to reduce workplace discrimination.
After returning to Los Angeles to begin law school, Greg remained active in local
politics. He has worked on several local campaigns and served as the President of a local
group that seeks to engage young voters.
In his spare time, Greg is a die hard Dodger fan and loves reading about American history. |
