Kristen K. Hirashima
graduated from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo, with degree in Social Science.
While at CalPoly, where she received an athletic scholarship, she competed as a sprinter
in Track and Field. Currently, Ms. Hirashima is a third year law student at Loyola Law
School in Los Angeles and an extern for Judge Harvey Silberman in the area of Family Law.
She is also a Certified Law School Student at the Center for Juvenile Law and Policy. Ms.
Hirashima has carried her discipline and competitive nature as a runner into her aspiring
career as a family law attorney. Before going to law
school she worked as an English Teacher for the JET Program in Niigata, Japan, where she
was also a farmhand and waitress. In her free time she enjoys hiking with her dogs, Ox and
Marley, traveling and exploring Los Angeles. |

Patience Adzo
Agbenyadzie graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Brown
University with a degree in Sociology (Honors) and Bio-Community Health. She is
currently a third year law student at UCLA School of Law. As an Equal Justice
America fellowship recipient, Ms. Agbenyadzie volunteered at the Harriet Buhai Center for
Family Law for two semesters. She received the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono
Legal Services from the State Bar of California for her work with the Buhai Center.
Prior to this, she worked at the Independent Jamaican Council for Human Rights (IJCHR) in
Kingston, Jamaica assisting a notable human rights attorney, Nancy
Anderson, on various matters, particularly police brutality cases. Ms. Agbenyadzie,
who was born and partially raised in Ghana, spent most of her teenage years in New
Jersey. She is interested in engaging in work that promotes the treatment of
individuals with dignity and respect. Ms. Agbenyadzie
looks forward to learning from experienced family law attorneys during her summer at
FMBK. During her free time, she enjoys fine art photography, early Senegalese
cinema, and tenaciously trying to learn how to ride a bicycle on Venice beach. |
