Alleen Markarian
Alleen Markarian, who joined FMBK in 2020, has exclusively practiced family law since passing the California Bar in 2016. Alleen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Northridge, graduating cum laude in the top 3% of her class. She went on to receive her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2016, along with a Certificate from the prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Alleen’s practice includes mediating, negotiating, and litigating a wide range of family law cases. She has extensive experience in issues such as, child custody and visitation, move-away cases, child and spousal support, high-asset property division, domestic violence, and premarital and postmarital agreements. She has led trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations, and has successfully resolved numerous cases. Alleen counsels her clients with integrity and honesty, aiming for settlement when possible. When a matter cannot be settled, she advocates fiercely to protect the rights of her clients. Either approach, Alleen works closely with her clients to gain trust and understanding of their matter, and she counsels her clients towards their best case resolution. Known for her clear communication, thoroughness and strategic planning, Alleen guides her clients with empathy, diligence, and focus.
Fluent in Armenian and conversational in Spanish, Alleen brings cultural and linguistic sensitivity to her practice. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, cooking, entertaining friends and family and most importantly, spending time with her husband and her two young children.
