Anthony Lai is a Senior Associate at Feinberg Mindel Brandt & Klein LLP and a Certified Family Law Specialist* who represents clients in high-conflict family law matters, focusing on complex litigation with empathetic, client-centered advocacy.

Anthony represents individuals in all areas of family law, including dissolution of marriage, custody and visitation, division of assets, spousal and child support, and pre- and post-marital agreements. He serves as lead counsel in long-cause matters and trials, particularly those involving contested domestic violence restraining orders, fiduciary breach claims, and move-away hearings.

Prior to practicing family law, Anthony worked in civil litigation firms that handled catastrophic personal injury, employment discrimination, and medical malpractice matters. He contributed to trial preparation, discovery, and case strategy on behalf of plaintiffs. This experience supports his work on crossover family-civil matters involving Marvin claims, fiduciary disputes, third-party joinder, and breach of partnership and fiduciary duty matters.

Anthony spent time in the chambers of Hon. Stephen G. Larson (Ret.), then a U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California, where he supported the court’s handling of civil motion practice, discovery disputes, and pretrial litigation.

Anthony currently co-chairs the LACBA Family Law Section’s annual Sorrell Trope Trial Institute and is a leader in the statewide legal community on issues pertaining to new attorneys. He currently serves as Secretary of the California Lawyers Association Board of Representatives, sits on the Executive Committee of the LACBA Family Law Section, and holds board positions with the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles and the LACBA Barristers Section.

Based in FMBK’s Pasadena office, Anthony has served the greater San Gabriel Valley legal community for nearly a decade. He lives in South Pasadena with his wife and daughter and remains deeply engaged in the community both personally and professionally.
